It’s really important to us that we have plenty of women’s voices in The 99 Names of Allah. Our aim is to quote from an equal number of male and female saints from the Islamic tradition. Camille Helminski’s book, Women of Sufism, has been a source that we have turned to again and again for quotations, guidance and inspiration.
